                          PURPOSE:

I am looking for a seasonal contract with a dance company where I can fulfill my potential and passion for dance. Exploring with movement and being involved with creative processes excites me. I am a go-getter. I hunger for challenges that push me hard and allow for not only growth but self-reward. Taking risks and purposefully attempting what is uncomfortable gives me life. I love seeing how educational outreach positively affects children, and I want to continue enriching the community through dance.

JUST A BIT ABOUT ME

PC: Ed Hubert

In December of 2017, I graduated, with the Latin Honors distinction of Cum Laude, from Towson University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Performance and Choreography under the training of Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell, Runqiao Du, Susan Mann, Catherine Horta-Hayden, Nicole Martinell, Betsy Romer, and Candice Webster. While in the process of obtaining a BFA, I had a minor in Physical Therapy and was a member of the National Honor Society of Dance Arts. My senior choreographic work, "Tethered", was selected for adjudication for the 2018 ACDA Mid-Atlantic Conference held at Virginia Commonwealth University. I have been dancing with Deep Vision Dance Company (MD) since May 2015, under the Artistic Director, Nicole A. Martinell. Back in December 2014, I graduated Summa Cum Laude and earned an Associate of Fine Arts degree in Dance Performing Arts from the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) under Tommy Parlon and Melinda Blomquist. I have attended multiple summer programs such as the Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Summer Intensive, METdance Professional Intensive and Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company Move-It Intensive on scholarship. I have performed works created by Darrell Grand Moultrie, Kim Bear-Bailey, Runqiao Du, Vincent Thomas, Quilan Arnold, Alvin Mayes, Danielle Sten-Guillermo, amongst others. In 2013, I co-choreographed and performed a work that was selected for the ACDFA Mid-Atlantic Conference adjudicated concert. While attending Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts under the guidance of Sonia Synkowski and Claire Sweet, I was a member of Baltimore County’s All-Honors Dance Ensemble for three years under the direction of Stephanie Powell, and was blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of an international dance exchange in 2012. I have received multiple honors and awards such as Maryland All-State Dancer and Outstanding Achievement in Dance Arts.
